Perfect Care Nursing Founder & CEO Joanna Fuller-Crawford featured on WSB-TV

Perfect Care Nursing Founder & CEO Joanna Fuller-Crawford was recently featured on WSB-TV’s “Getting Real” segment, in an interview about self-care during times of Covid-19.

Channel 2’s Dave Huddleston asked Joanna, a Registered Nurse who holds a BS in Nursing and an MBA, what she’s seeing with her patients, especially people of color, noting that more Black people between the ages of 30 and 39 have died of Covid than any other group in Georgia, according to the Georgia Department of Health.

“Unfortunately, people of color do have more co-morbidities than anyone else, such as diabetes and high blood pressure, which are the main factors that affect Covid,” Joanna told Channel 2. “African-Americans need to do better. It is hugely important to get vaccinated as well as to practice social distancing, to wash your hands and to wear your mask in crowds.”

WSB-TV reported that while the CDC says fewer people are being hospitalized and dying from the new Covid-19 variants, they still recommend taking safety precautions.

Joanna adds, “You never know what’s next. As far as our clients, we continue to educate them and their families because unfortunately, sometimes their families still don’t understand how risky Covid is.”
